 A marshmallow cream cheese tart with cute strawberry sauce hearts.

Ingredients (makes six 8.5cm tarts, or one 18cm tart)

~BASE~
Wheat flour – 100g
Black cocoa powder – 10g
Sugar – 35g
Salt – pinch
Unsalted butter – 70g
Egg yolk – 1
~FILLING~
Cream cheese – 80g
Marshmallows – 60g
Milk – 60cc
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Strawberry sauce – suitable amount

How To Cook

Step 1: Add the wheat flour, black cocoa powder, sugar and salt into a food processor and mix well.

Step 2: Cut the butter into small pieces and add to the food processor. Mix well.

Step 3: Add in the egg yolk and mix until a dough is formed.

Step 4: Wrap the dough in clingwrap and cool in the fridge for 1 hour.

Step 5: To make one large tart, place the dough on cooking paper and add a weight on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 180degC for 20 minutes. Remove the weight, then bake for another 5 minutes.

Step 6: Add the cream cheese and marshmallows into a bowl and microwave for 1 minute. As the marshmallows contain gelatin, they will help to solidify the cream cheese.

Step 7: Mix with a whisk. Reheat in the microwave if marshmallows had not melted completely.

Step 8: Add in the milk and lemon juice and mix well.

Step 9: Pour the cream cheese into the tart base.

Step 10: Decorate with strawberry sauce as shown in the video.

Step 11: Refrigerate and serve.

Points to note

* If creating the dough by hand, mix room temperature butter, sugar and salt in a bowl. Add in the egg yolk and mix, then finally wheat flour and and black cocoa powder for best results.

* If using the Vitantonio tart making machine, create balls of dough of about 38g for the tart base, and 6g for the hearts. Bake the tarts for 3.5 minutes each.
